Bin gerade auf Fuerteventura und habe die ersten Testaufnahmen der neuen Pentax Optio W90 im "Kasten". Leider ist es nur ein Vorserienmodell mit einigen Softwareaussetzern und nicht allen verfügbaren Möglichkeiten. Allerdings ist das Handling und die Bildqualität schon überragend. Gemacht wurden die Fotos in der Welle vor dem Leuchtturm von Jandia. Bearbeitet in Photoshop. Surferin war Judy von der Surfschule des Club Aldiana.
I´m just on Fuerteventura and have checked the quality of a not final test sample of the new Optio W90. Great camera: small and light to transport under the wetsuit. Picture quality like a "big one". Available inl April 2010!
Bereits in meiner Jugend musste ich mir einen Namen aussuchen, der unter meinen damals geschossenen Sportfotos für die Westfalenpost stand, da ich immer mal wieder die Schule schwänzen musste, um bei wichtigen Shootings vor Ort zu sein. Da sollte mir mein Familienname natürlich nicht als Standortbeweis dienen. "Sebastian Beck" hatte in 10 Jahren ca. 40.000 Fotos geschossen, von denen natürlich nur ein Bruchteil den Weg auf die Zeitungsseiten fanden.
Es war die Hochphase meiner Leidenschaft zur Fotografie, die in einer Ausbildung zum Fotokaufmann bis zur heutigen Tätigkeit als Manager für einen japanischen Kamerahersteller anhält. Fotografie ist immer noch ein faszinierendes Hobby für mich, trotzdem ich seit mehr als 30 Jahren mein Brot mit dem Verkauf der Technik und des Designs von Kameras und Zubehör verdiene.
Seit über 10 Jahren gehe ich wieder zurück zu den Wurzeln meiner Fotografie - dem Sport. Besonders die Verbundenheit zum Wassersport ( insbesondere Segeln, Surfen und Wellenreiten ) sind deshalb die Grundlage meiner meisten Fotos.
Bastian Lende ist also ein Name in "alter" Tradition...

Who is B.Lende? - I adopted this alias many years ago, because it sounds mystic and it is strongly reminiscents of a important part of a camera.
Early on, I had to select a pseudonym in my youth. I used it to sign my sports photos, taken for the german newspaper WESTFALENPOST. "Sebastian Beck", my first pseudonym, shot approx. 40,000 photos, naturally only a fraction could be found in the papers over 10 years. It was the high phase of my passion for photography, which flowed into an apprenticesship as a photo-retailer up to my todays activity as a manager in the photo industry. Photography is still a fascinating hobby for me, although I have been earning my bread through the sales of the technology and design of cameras and accessories for 25 years. Some years ago I went back to the roots of my photography. Above all, my love of water sports (essentially sailing, windsurfing and surfing) is the basis of the following pictures.

Mein Werkzeug besteht zum Grossteil aus digitalen Kameras, wobei ich natürlich auch noch analog arbeite, wenn es auf extrem hohe Auflösung und bestmögliche Qualität ankommt. Das "Fotolabor" besteht aus einem MINOLTA Mittelformatscaner, einem WACOM DIN A3 Zeichentablot und einem Profifarbdrucker DIN A3 von EPSON. Im Keller verstaubt ein Illford 9x12-Vergrösserer. Diese Kameras gehören z.Z. zu meinem Equipment:For technic freaks only: My photographic tools include digital cameras for the most part- of course, I am still working "analog", if it´s necessary to have a high definition and the best quality I can get. My "darkroom" is comprised of a MINOLTA film scanner, for works up to size 6x9, a WACOM Tablet A3 and a professional EPSON A3 inkjet printer. Here is the list of my equipment:
